- Good campsites are found, not made. Altering a site is not necessary. <br>3 o$ n* i& l# x  J- v3 {2 Z+ d

In popular areas: <br>+ X! }3 n- `+ `) ~: k" \
- Concentrate use on existing trails and campsites. <br>  B! S9 R& t  {* e
- Walk single file in the middle of the trail, even when wet or muddy. <br>
/ v$ Y. y0 y, m" p- Keep campsites small. Focus activity in areas where vegetation is absent. <br>9 K. `7 B: o4 X: Z# Y

In pristine areas:<br>
: f" _- @( c) B5 O9 u3 \  _- Disperse use to prevent the creation of campsites and trails. <br>
- F9 q9 e# r. V) Q+ u0 P- Avoid places where impacts are just beginning. <br>) l& q" y2 o% C3 b, T6 p  h
<br>

Dispose of Waste Properly <br>" a# u" `* O0 y. Q& o7 `

- 背进来背出去。检视所经之出,把废弃物、食物残渣及纸屑都带出去。<br>
4 M0 N  i0 k0 Y$ T3 ^- 置排泄物的小洞必须六至八寸深,离水源、营地及步道至少两百尺。事毕掩埋并掩饰。<br>
7 k  m! v/ S% B2 `+ U- 卫生纸与其他卫生用品带出去。<br>
( Y6 s9 w1 |1 {3 v/ x- 盥洗或洗碗时,提水到距河或湖两百尺出,少量使用可自然分解的洗洁剂。洗碗水滤渣后分散洒掉。<br>
/ y' M% {' N: e, W6 w<br>. S/ X% b% k6 I# W
- Pack it in, pack it out. Inspect your campsite and rest areas for trash or spilled foods. Pack out all trash, leftover food, and litter. <br>
4 u8 K4 Q% Y2 z4 T2 x- Deposit solid human waste in catholes dug 6 to 8 inches deep at least 200 feet from water, camp, and trails. Cover and - disguise the cathole when finished. <br>1 ]% g7 W) i* A; t% x+ x
- Pack out toilet paper and hygiene products. <br>* N. o- z/ Q/ X5 \  P: u
- To wash yourself or your dishes, carry water 200 feet away from streams or lakes and use small amounts of biodegradable soap. Scatter strained dishwater. <br>

Minimize Campfire Impacts <br>

- Campfires can cause lasting impacts to the backcountry. Use a lightweight stove for cooking and enjoy a candle lantern for light. <br>

- Keep fires small. Only use sticks from the ground that can be broken by hand. <br>
4 N7 m8 N3 ^! E/ a- Burn all wood and coals to ash, put out campfires completely, then scatter cool ashes. <br>/ q" n  k/ F! N6 `

尊重野生动物<br>

- 避开敏感时节:交配期、筑巢、育雏,或冬季。<br>

- Protect wildlife and your food by storing rations and trash securely. <br>9 G" s! {+ ]6 a  m/ v
- Control pets at all times, or leave them at home. <br>

- Be courteous. Yield to other users on the trail. <br>
